The drama of the pod resident hippos in the oxbow loop of the Grumeti River, the mud-caked hippo hide and the rustic villages on the shores of Lake Victoria inspired the pale aubergine tones, stone walls and structures.
The Brief
In our role as hospitality and design consultants to andBeyond, Fox Browne Creative was asked to breathe new life into their 16-year-old Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp using limited resources.
The Inspiration
The drama of the pod resident hippos in the oxbow loop of the Grumeti River, the mud-caked hippo hide and the rustic villages on the shores of Lake Victoria inspired the pale aubergine tones, stone walls and structures.
The Result
We are proud of the updated fresh look we managed to give it, in the original buildings, focusing on texture and natural pattern.
